Preparedness of Kharif-2026

• Fertilizers requirement assed in consulation with States for Karif 2026-390.54 LMT, against which 180 LMT (46%) is available as opening stock.
• Meeting of DA&FW, DoF and States Secretatries held on 30/03/2026 on Judicious Use of Fertilizres, ensuring timely, orderly last mile delivery.

• Nationwide enforcement drive has been undertaken in coordination with States to continue strict vigil on diversion of the fertilizerfor non agricultural use hoarding etc.
• Nigrani samiti at panchayat level for local monitoring.
• Promote use of alternative fertilizers such as Nano Fertilizers, Bio Ferilizer and Bio-Stimulanta.
• States like Madhya Pradesh, Haryana amd Telangana have implemented models of integrating fertilizer sale with farmer databases/land records, 19 States have initiated generating Farmer IDs.
