History

The varity has been developed by the crose of Co-8316 x Co-8213 and released in the year of 2007 as an early variety for commercial cultivation in North–Western zone.

General appearance

Semi–erect, tall, thin greenish yellow canes with green canopy.

Distinguishing Cahracteristics

Habit: Semi-erect

Leaf: Green lamina, loose clasping leaf sheath without hairs, deltoid ligule, lanceoiate inner auricle and yellowish green dewlage leaf blade is medium wide and arched.

Cane: Cylindrical, thin. Yellowish purple internodes with smooth rind, weak Zig-Zag allgement and light waxiness. Medium sized round buds and bu tip bellow the growth ring. It is medium wide rooy bands. The internodes are round in cross sections and with pithiness.

Breeding and Agronomic Characteristics

The clone has semi-eract canes with high cane population. Leaf tip drying is common in Sumer months. It is toerant to drought and water-logging conditions.

Pest and disease reaction

Moderately resistant to smut and red rot.
